Uniforms

SHREVEPORT GYMNASTICS

All school uniforms are available through Shreveport Gymnastics located at 4727 Line Ave. in Shreveport –
ph. 318-869-1207. If a product size is unavailable, please contact the office for guidance.

Uniform Closet – Gently used uniform pieces can be swapped or purchased for $5/piece. See office for details.

Girls

K3-1st – Jumper with white Peter Pan collar blouse, navy piping optional.

2nd-5th – Skort or skirt and red polo with official SJB logo. Skirt must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee and touch the back of the calf when kneeling.

6th-8th – Skirt with red polo with official SJB logo (2023-24 transition year. Girls can still wear white polo or white oxford if they fit in them.) Skirt must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee and touch the back of the calf when kneeling.

All Girls

1. Black, navy, or white socks, tights, and ankle-length leggings (worn 2nd and 3rd 9 weeks only).
2. Red cardigan, red SJB sweatshirt, or red fleece jacket with official school logo (may be monogrammed with student’s name on right side).
3. Headbands with ears, antennas, etc. are unacceptable.
4. K3-K5 shoes must be velcro. Shoes must be predominantly solid colored black, brown, white, navy, or red.
5. Heavy coats can only be worn outside

Boys

K3-K5 – Red uniform polo with official school logo and khaki pull-up shorts/pants with elastic waist.

1st-8th – Red uniform polo or red dri-fit with official school logo and khaki shorts/pants (no shorter than 2 inches above the knee).

Black or brown belt

All Boys

1. K3-K5 shoes must be velcro. Shoes must be predominantly solid colored black, brown, white, navy, or red.
2. White, black or navy socks
3. Red cardigan, red SJB sweatshirt, or red fleece jacket with official school logo (may be monogrammed with student’s name on right side).
4. Heavy coats can only be worn outside.

Boys and Girls 6th-8th – Official SJB PE shorts and shirts purchased through Shreveport Gymnastics.

Prohibited List

• Short or cropped leggings
• Jogging pants under skirts
• Headbands with ears, antennas, etc.
• Lights/wheels on shoes
• Sandals, boots, crocs, open-toed, platform, or fluorescent-colored shoes or shoe laces

Additional Dress Code Requirements for All Students

• Uniforms should be clean and pressed with all buttons attached and hem intact. 
• Undershirts must be white. 
• Polos should remain buttoned and tucked in. 
• Hair must be natural color, neat, and not covering the eyes. Dyed/highlighted hair is not acceptable. Boy’s hair must be above the shirt collar and not below the eyebrows. Extreme hairstyles are not permitted, i.e. mohawks or any other style deemed not acceptable by administration. 
• 8th grade girls may only wear minimum makeup, but no eyeliner or lipstick.
• No nail polish, gel nails, or artificial nails.
• Rubber bands, scrunchies, hair clips, etc. must be in the hair, not worn on the wrists.
• Tattoos of any kind are not allowed. 
• Visible body piercings, except pierced ear lobes for girls, are not acceptable. GIRLS MAY WEAR ONE PAIR OF EARRINGS BUT MAY BE NO LARGER THAN A DIME. Jewelry should be limited to watches, rings, and simple crosses or holy medals on a narrow silver or gold chain (no cord or ribbon chains). Only one bracelet per wrist is acceptable.  Watches with a beeping device shall be disconnected during the school day.
• Writing on skin is not permitted. 
• Sunglasses and hats are not to be worn inside the school during school hours.
• Other forms of dress accessories, jewelry, and hair adornments that tend to be faddish in nature are unacceptable.
• Purses are considered accessories and therefore must be kept in lockers. Small purses are allowed for middle school students.
