The Cathedral of St. John Berchmans Catholic School has always been and will always remain a parish school here to serve our parishioners. Tuition for the 2025-2026 academic year will remain the same as this year! We have tried hard, through recent inflation, to keep SJB as affordable as possible.
To make a Catholic education more attainable to our parishioners, we offer a Catholic scholarship that reduces tuition to $7,880.00 (with fees) for the first child and an additional reduction of $1,200.00 for each sibling. With 78% of our families being Catholic and many qualifying for the multi-child discount, we anticipate an estimated gap of $292,075.00 for the next fiscal year. We cannot continue to operate without the generosity and financial support of our parish and those of you who assist us in filling this gap. Thank you so much for your past generosity!
Please prayerfully consider sponsoring a Catholic family to help our Cathedral school fill this gap. In the Memo/for a portion of check donations, clearly indicate “Catholic Family Gap Fund.” If you would prefer to offer your blessing online, click here. If you would like more information about our Cathedral School, please reach out via phone or email. We welcome walk-in tours as well!
What may seem insurmountable individually is more than doable when we pull together. I think of 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, “he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” If you have been so blessed, please consider being a blessing to SJB.
Established for Cathedral families in honor of and recognition of Monsignor's love of Catholic schools! Msgr. LaCaze was an adamant supporter of Catholic education, helping build and maintain strong Catholic schools throughout north and central Louisiana.

Community Cash For Schools helps schools earn money through Proofs of Purchase on Community products. These Proofs of Purchase are redeemable for cash that each school can spend at its discretion. Schools can choose to allocate the money toward new textbooks, computers, or events that benefit students. Founded in 1988, Community Cash for Schools has helped participating schools generate millions of dollars to give students a better education.
