Congratulations To SJB Students of the Year

Ava B., 8th grader, and Kate K., 5th grader have been selected as St. John Berchmans Catholic School’s nominees for the annual Louisiana Student of the Year competition.

Each year, the Louisiana Department of Education, in conjunction with the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, recognizes an outstanding fifth, eighth, and twelfth grade student based on their leadership, academic performance, achievements, citizenship, and service to the school and community.

Ava and Kate will represent SJB in the local private school division where the regional winner will be selected. The winner will then move on to the state competition for a chance to be named Louisiana Student of the Year. Congratulations, Ava and Kate!
